Who is responsible
Crimsonvalleyscand Analytics Ltd, company no. SC781426, is responsible for personal information it processes in operating this publication and handling correspondence. Our registered office is 31 Queen Street, Edinburgh, EH2 1JX, United Kingdom. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions.
Reading the website
The published pages do not require registration and contain no advertising trackers, analytics scripts or embedded social-media players. Normal website delivery exposes technical information, such as an IP address, requested page, time and browser information, to the hosting infrastructure. Technical access information may be processed for delivery, security and fault investigation, based on legitimate interests in maintaining a safe, functional website.
We do not use technical access information to produce athlete profiles or automated sporting decisions. Necessary service providers may process information on our behalf subject to appropriate contractual safeguards.
The local message composer
Typing into the contact composer does not submit your entries to us. JavaScript constructs a draft within the page. The composer does not use cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage to save your draft. Closing or reloading the page may remove it; browser form-restoration behaviour is controlled by your browser.
Copy places text on your device’s clipboard if you request it. Download creates a text file on your device. Those copies are under your control. Sending the draft through an email application is a separate action and is subject to your email provider’s processing.
If you email us
We receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond, investigate corrections, manage requests and keep an appropriate correspondence record. Our usual basis is legitimate interests in operating the publication and answering enquiries. Where a legal obligation applies, we process the necessary information to meet it.
Please do not send medical information, children’s personal details, private sporting footage or complete athlete records. If unnecessary sensitive information reaches us, we will limit its use and take appropriate steps to remove or securely manage it.
Sharing and retention
Information may be handled by hosting and email providers where necessary to operate the site and correspondence service. We do not sell personal information or share messages with sports recruiters for talent assessment. Disclosure may be necessary to meet a legal obligation or protect legal rights.
We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, any continuing editorial issue and applicable legal requirements. Retention is reviewed in light of the information’s purpose and sensitivity. If a provider processes personal information outside the UK, applicable transfer requirements and safeguards must be met.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of personal information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Not every right applies to every processing activity.
Email us with enough information to identify your request; do not send identity documents unless we explain why proportionate verification is needed. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We welcome the opportunity to address a concern first, but that is not a condition of making a complaint.
